PSU problems..

I'm surprised there is so little mention/recommendation of CoolerMaster PSUs. Their new PSUs are really good and reasonably priced, but in the end you get what you pay for. Holds true for most things.

Well there was some that mentioned.. but.. yeah.. maybe the CM fans wasn't on here when I asked lol..

Most actually only recommended a CA.. which was weird, because I thought CA only made ram.. O.O

Sure they're good PSUs but I think we were working on a budget.

The Extreme Powers aren't worth considering these days since the likes of Corsair released their higher wattage CX series PSUs at amazing price for value.

The CM PSUs to consider are of course the GX series, but no where close to the price of R599 for a Vantec ION2+ 600 or Corsair CX500, which would both run the OP's system 110%.

YEAH!!! Another one agreeing that my PSU was "gotten" at a good price lol..

Last time I asked my friend.. He told me to get the Odin (One I had before..) And everyone here was just saying how SH&T it was.. which kind of put me off lol.. :P

Well maybe that's true, but you know my PSU makes this weirds "drawing" sound that goes from soft to loud.. And it happened to my other PC but after I changed the PSU the sound went away..

Ok sounds like your current one is a POS. I personally use the Huntkey Greenpower 550 in my gaming rig and its nice and quiet.

Just bear in mind that few of these PSU's are actually made by the company on the label. In fact a variety of factories produce them, depending on the power rating.

Here's a place to lookup the real brand:

Notice that the top end Corsairs are made by Seasonic, as are the Antecs.

Yeah.. I know.. I wanted to get a Good Corsair as well.. but.. couldn't find it.. and needed it before my computer died lol

No no.. the Odin wasn't a POS.. it was great until I got a new GPU and a another Hard drive.. Which I think made it hard for it to work..
