A while back I recall someone posting a cool site where you pick all your components and then it spits out a recommended PSU rating. Any ideas?

Interesting,
From the site:
The recommended total Power Supply Wattage gives you a general idea on what to look for BUT it is NOT a crucial factor in power supply selection! Total Amperage Available on the +12V Rail(s) is the most important, followed by the +5V amperage and then the +3.3V amperage.

Don't want to go off topic but can someone explain? Does this apply to office computers as well? Or only gaming PC's?

It applies to everything, office PC's just use so little power that in practice it doesn't really matter. Unless you're doing some heavy 3D modelling or something in your office.

Basically it's the difference between those R150 700watt power supplies and the R900 450watt power supplies. Quality at a lower wattage is better than a high wattage but crap.

That's called a Workstation and not a office pc :p
