Hello i was wandering if the iSONIC MEGAPOWER 600WATT MAX MODULAR has two pci-e connectors. I am getting an hd4870 512mb or a gtx275 and those need two connectors don't they? Also will my cpu, a amd 6000+ be a bottleneck? I am buying from digital planet as they support Nedbank greenbacks so buying the cards is basically free but i cannot find the hd4890 or any psus on their site. Thanks:sick:

I would stay away. Many cases on this forum of iSonic PSUs breaking.

Stick with the known brands - Antec, Cooler Master, Corsair, Gigabyte, OCZ, Zalman. Vantec have brought out their PSUs in SA recentlyish and they're very well priced.

Vantec ioN2+N van-500N 500w power supply ( 12v: 384w ) , EPS12V , ATX 12V V2.2 , 24pin ( 4 pin detachable ) + 4 or 8pin 12v AUX , dual 12V rail , 4 x SATA + 2x6 or 1x6+1x8pin PCI-E power connectors , 1x 135mm pwm fan with intelligent fan speed control ; with OCP, OVP , SCP - 2 years warranty

@ about R630 is nice. Has your 2 x 6-pin connectors. You could also go for a cheaper PSU with 1 x 6-pin and use the Molex to 6-pin adapter that will be supplied with the gfx card. Go for the HD4890, best bang for buck.

Your CPU wouldn't bottleneck in most games, bear in mind though that more and more games coming out are making better use of quad core CPUs, so you might want to consider upgrading your CPU too...

Can't find hd 4890 on digital planet and will the Vantec ioN2+N van-500N 500w power supply run the gtx275?

Yes.

I'm pretty sure Digital Planet will either get the HD4890 soon, or that they would be able to get one if you asked.

Hi KiLLa007,

I hope you are well.

Could you perhaps PM me your contact number and I will get one of our sales guys to contact you. They can perhaps help source the item?

Thanks and Regards,
Karyn
