I have had some time to think about how I responded in the previous thread regarding what I thought to be some pretty negative things said about my company. In hindsight, I was completely wrong. I read over that thread and I can see why people were taking pot-shots at me. I brought it on myself. I am unreservedly sorry for my outbursts and want you to know that I only reacted emotionally because I feel that issues affecting my livelihood, like my business, are not to be taken lightly. I guess I have a bit of a sense of humour failure when it comes to my business. What you guys have shown me is that I need to be able to laugh a little about myself and even my company and that I shouldn’t take everything as seriously as I initially feel I need to.

I would also like to apologise to SoftDux-Rudi. I have had a chance to read what he posted and I can see that at first it was only said as a joke, and I then took it too seriously, which then escalated the problem. SoftDux-Rudi I am sorry for turning this into a fight that didn’t need to happen. I am sure you didn’t mean what you said about my company and it was just the usual myadsl banter. There was no need for “threads” of any kind. Although fighting without threads might have been a little awkward. LOL.

Lastly, I just want you to know that I do in fact run a professional company and my clients agree. In future I will try to educate you guys (without spamming you) about my company instead of going on a rant. I see that marketing opportunities are what you make of them and this forum is great for that. As a token of my gratitude, I’d like to offer anyone on myadsl a (10% to 20% - you decide) discount on (web design and graphics design) for this week, to at least begin to make up for my stupid outburst and to show that I’m committed to making my company’s relationship with myadsl work. PM me if you are interested.

Thanks for showing me that it is okay to laugh at myself sometimes.

Regards
Byron

Good on you mate.
Takes a big man to admit when he's wrong.
Doesn't happen very often on this forum

Wait, this feels like dejavu...Was the other posts in this thread deleted?

I want you to design a website that will be able to completely automate the workings of a space shuttle and also make hamburgers, fries and lights my cigarettes. Oh and seeing as how I can choose I'd like 20% discount please :P

I was following the fight from the start lol so apology accepted

Well in that case

I can make a flash game for the shuttle part :) and the rest well we can chat about it :)

Seeing that is a big project how about 25% discount ?

byron, stop negotiating yourself out of the deal. Never offer devalue your service by proposing discounts. They are an absolute last resort...

Haha yay I make joke and was not threadend :D:D Anyways good on you mate for apologizing. Not that I TRULY think it would've impacted your business negatively if you didn't tho. Anyhow good times.:D

The problem is not isolated to this incident. It will rear its ugly head each and every time someone googles his name, his business or every checks references. That is why the apology is a sign of some forward thinking and maturity on Byron's part. And it comes across as sincere too, which helps...
