Public IP Address

Hello All,

I am trying to find out the public IP address of one of our client's ADSL lines. I need to access the router, but can't without this information. I have the tel. no. and username of the relevant ADSL line, and am currently holding with 10217, but they seem rather clueless. Are they my only option?

The ISP is TelkomInternet.

Thanks for the suggestions, but staff on site are clueless. Also, it's not used for internet, but cctv streaming, so no one actually uses that line for anything else, it goes from the dvr-router-world.

I hope the permissions is relaxed enough so that it will allow you to configure over public ip, most routers block the setup page from wan side.

If you can wait +- 2 hours, you can log onto below link with the adsl username and password,
and enable the free DYN DNS Telkom offers.

Then you can use that address to access the router.

On the contrary - I hope its locked down to stop prying eyes from accessing it from the internet.
