Public Protector under attack

It was just a matter of time. Can't have someone actually doing their jobs -especially when, potentially, exposing the real goings-on.

Sigh, rather then fighting against corrupt people; the ANC prefers to tackle the person who is exposing it. I admit I haven't followed the public protector closely but she seems to be doing a decent job from the bits I've heard, so I hope things work out in her favour.

I don't know what to make of that website. People have been quoting it for a few years now, especially John Robbie on 702, but reading the comments on that site makes me very suspicious.

Prof de Vos knows what he's talking about, so from a constitutional law perspective he provides very good analyses. At times he goes off on a tangent when his personal beliefs/alignments/etc. come into play. Ignore the latter and you still have a sound analysis.

Regarding the comments; isn't this the case for most sites that have a comment function (nevermind an open comment function).

Back on topic: for those who haven't read it, an almost rock-solid press release regarding the allegations. I just love getting the feeling that she has nothing to hide. :)

But anyway, we all knew it was just a matter of time until they would start gunning for her.
You can't keep pointing out the obvious corruption in the ANC and expect to come away unscathed.

I can see why they hate her. Not only is she good at her job, which automatically makes her a target since it exposes the incompetence of the rest of the government, but she's also keeping the piggies away from their troughs. So of course they'll accuse her of being a counter-revolutionary agent/racist/DA supporter/whatever the flavour of the month is.

I hope they search hard and deep and get nuddu so that she continue to peruse the corrupt thieves in the government.
