Does anyone know if the current Public Servant strike affects the services(sic) at the various offices which do Driver's License renewals? My Drivers License expires early September

That is normally run by municipal workers... They already had their strike for the year.... so you should be safe... but this is ZA... so who knows.

what pisses me off is how the unions intimidate their own members into striking. I am at one of the courts and you should see how nervous the staff are.

I dont even notice it when public industry strikes :D Its hard to tell if they are working or striking.

I work at a School in KZN, and it's definitely affecting us. We had our matrics come in for lessons at our local country club and we were attacked by union members. Disgusting really.

The SABC's 1GOAL ad is not for this country, here they do the opposite. :D

the licensing department fall under provincial government which means it will definately be affected by the strike. But not all public servants are striking so call the centre first before going to renew.

+1 So true when work is considered. But you do notice it when they go on a rampage and destroy property. Hope the police take strong action.

Public Servant?

More like Public nuisance

Identify the top 30% of the workers.
Retrench the other 70%. Give the money saved to the top 30%.
Problem solved

just heard on the news that scholars at a school on the south coast were attacked by the strikers.

i'm sorry but if someone attacks my child and i'm there, i'm going to make things equal. these are children for heavens sakes. keep your disagreements with the government not with the kids.

Based on the behaviour of the strikers metal bullets are appropriate.
