Hi guys

I was wondering if any of you are currently on the test realm (EU).

I wanna try it out, but don't really want to blow international bandwidth if I don't have to. Logging into the download section for the PTR client shows a 2.4-3.0.2 downloader link.

Does that mean it simply downloads the next content patch? I can grab that from a link that was provided on this forum using local bandwidth. I really wanna get on the PTR though, need to check out the new talents!

If anyone has some information regarding this matter I would really love to hear it.

The local bandwidth patch isn't the full version - yet.

That PTR patch is a full download with the realmlist poiting to the PTR you would need. Also the PTR queue is about 8days to transfer a toon now :S

My gawd, that means that by the time I get on the damn PTR, the damn patch will be on live >.<

I had a beta key before they went public. Its not really worth the bandwidth.

Rather wait for the expansion to check it out...it's here 13th November :)

Unless you REEEEEAAALY wanna have a look :p

3.0.2 release is in about 4 weeks though. So it is not too bad to test some things on PTR.
Is it worth it? No
Why? PTR are now filled with thousands of people that did not get into beta, so the server is crashing more than it is up, unless you are prepared to test in the very early morning hours. You will have to download the patch two times, once for the PTR and then again for the release patch, they are coded differently.
