Germany’s biggest news publisher Axel Springer has scrapped a move to block Google from running snippets of articles from its newspapers, saying that the experiment had caused traffic to its sites to plunge

it still is a monopoly just it's competitors can't compete with it but thats just because google does it better,

I mean did you ever hear someone say oh let me just yahoo that or msn it. Yup once your company name gets verbed you know you made it.
