I have this problem with my pnkbstrB.exe, it's worked fine before, till i re-installed windows 7 Pro 32bit, i have tried every solution, when i start up BF2142 it works fine and everything and when i look in my program processes it shows pnkbstrA.exe is running, but not B, sometimes it shows up but then when i join a game and im playing it within 2 minutes in it says pnkbstrb.exe failed to initialize. I have tried making both services active, making firewall rules, ive tried everything..

Hey

I dont have battlefield but this might work:

Go to your game install folder, in the folder there should be another folder called punkbuster or just PB/pb enter the folder and find PnkBstrB.exe then run it as administrator. Also have you manually updated punkbuster?

try go to PB's main site and get the PBSETUP.exe and run that.

I have had issues where even upon starting A or B manually after I notice it is not running, that it won't work, only upon it starting up as Windows starts up.

that wont work, yes their is a punkbuster folder (PB), but inside isnt any applications, on .dll files and some web pages and yes i have updated PB

Ive done that, plenty times, doesnt work

Have yu tried removing PB comepletely? Just delete the pb folder that i mentioned in the previous reply. Then Download punkbuster again and add your game. Just a reminder that you need to add 'PBSVC' has to be run as adminstrator on Windows 7

Edit:

Also if you have a personal firewall (one that you installed manually or that comes with a virus program) try to disable it and see if it wors then.
