Puppy Linux: install on HDD

I have my eye on Bodhi at the mo:

I've tried that before and can't stand the Enlightenment window manager it's built around.

It's based on ubuntu so I don't see how they can offer a 32-bit version based on 20.04LTS as no such thing exists, it will be based on an old version and that support will end when ubuntu ends their support.

Surely they can compile the Ubuntu 20.04 sources for whichever architecture they like?

Two other distros for older harder:

1) SparkyLinux with LXQt. After trying a number of distros that advertise themselves as lightweight, this one seems to fit best for me. Running on a 2009 laptop with Celeron CPU and with an SSD, this seems pretty good. Also not as buggy or confusing as some other alternative distros.

2) Haiku OS. This one is neat because its not Linux-based (although it runs much of the same software) .. its inspired by BeOS which has some interesting desktop ideas like window-stacking and linking two windows together. It runs really well on older hardware. Probably faster than any Linux distro I've tried, but I did have some issues with wireless needing to be restarted. It recently had a beta 2 release. I think Haiku OS will be a really interesting alternative as it matures further.
