Hi guys

Is it possible to purchase extra apps without a credit card for your iPad?

Is the procedure to go to any iStore, purchase a voucher there, and use said voucher to purchase applications?

TIA

If you mean from the SA store then thats the only way.

For the US store you will at least need a paypal account to buy us vouchers for your store.

I am starting to get the feeling, this is more hassle than it is worth ... , I begin to understand why people feel driven to jailbreak their Apple products ...

Ook i assume you have a US account?

you can purchase vouchers with a cheque card or even with bank transfers (EFT) off evopoints.co.za

My card isn't technically a CC (FNB gold card) but it has Visa and it works fine.

You can open a deposit account with CitiBank in the US, but just getting there is a mission. I use a CitiBank account to enable people in the US to pay me when they buy items from my eBay auctions. CitiBank are ok with PayPal.

There is a tremendous amount of red tape involved with doing this from South Africa, Reserve Bank approval, etc. When I was last there I went into a branch in NY, told the enquiries lady what I had in mind, and 10 mins later I had the account. Had to deposit $50. No FICA stuff over there, she just made a copy of my (UK) passport. Could not have been more obliging.

I don't think the za stores sell vouchers but a quick phone call should clear that up.

A bank issued cheque are might be your only solution. These differ from your standard debit card, mostly in appearance, but are treated as credit cards by most merchants.

Hope so, as I have put my name down for an iPhone 4S ... , tho I sometimes think a Galaxy S2 might be less hassle, and no iTunes noose around the neck ...
Since iOS5 I've pretty much forgotten about iTunes but my kids use it all the time.

TBH - my youngest found it a bit challenging at first so I can understand why some people dislike it so much.

Then again she's four.

dex is correct there is also

www.cheapcodes.co.za (zaps online) they accept eft, the just use gift cards.

One writer had it correct - the easiest option to use is Evopoints. See http://www.evopoints.co.za/index.php?cPath=256

Evopoints accepts EFT as well.

:D
