Purchasing Games From UK ??

Hey Guys

Well most know that the upcoming Titles are many for us gamers, and i would like to find out has anyone ordered games from the UK before ?? Like Game ? Gamestop ??

Thanks, just checking feedback on it first as prices are decent

I've bought from Shopto before. Everything went fine, got the game after 2 weeks IIRC. Sometimes customs can hold the game though, if you import game after game.

The game I bought was a limited edition that wasn't available here.. But I'd rather buy over here due to the risks and it's not as expensive as it was 3 years ago (with PS3 that is). I heard Shopto no longer sends games here due to loads of people not receiving their games.. But that was a couple of years ago and I don't know about other sites.

If you find somewhere, I'd say give it a go and see from there, but I wouldn't buy all my games imported from over there.

Most of the time it is cheaper for console games. But always remember to factor in any shipping charges, VAT and duties (if applicable). Generally places that ship outside the EU will ship to South Africa. Shipping times from the UK are usually quite short. Typically about two weeks to get to your local post office.

PC games actually tend to cost more in the UK than here.

the main issue is the theft from the post office. if it wasnt for that I would buy lots from the UK, but not worth the stress.

Games need to be rated in south africa to be legal so technically if customs pics your item to scrutinise they can destroy it legally.

Most of the time they just steal tho

Theft from the post office is a nightmare. I stopped using SAPO and EMS a couple of years ago after the fourth parcel arrived torn to shreds with contents missing.
