So I went onto their website to see what solutions they've got. As I need something simple for a 1 man business.
So scrolling through, and saw they have LTE packages for the internet - great and they also have an option for Unlimited voice over LTE < even greater!
I personally want to steer away from VOIP as I've found on a number of occasions that they are really bad at packet loss and people sound like robots on the other side.
I have forever since Telkom launched VoLTE used it, and it's perfect IMO. Basically, all providers have enabled this on their LTE network. And the providers ensure that voice packets get priority over the non-voice packet. So even in a area with heavy congestion (slow internet) the voice-over LTE part still works fine.
So fast forward, I make contact with Vox about this Voice over LTE solution and if I can bolt on data as well. Firstly, one of their sales guys didn't even know of such a solution. So this says a lot already. But he said he'll chat to the product manager and get back to me.
Someone else called me, I explained to him what I need, and he said. Great, he'll get me a quote for that solution. To my surprise, I get a quote for 3.3 times more than the solution I asked for. So naturally, I replied and asked for the solution that was discussed over the telephone, that being 20GB LTE data and the Voice over LTE solution.
Now said sales guy comes back saying, seeing as it's a data sim now, with a VOICE bundle added, that the sim card is made to provide data over voice, so the call quality is gonna be bad. And that he highly recommends me doing for the more expensive solution.
Mind you on the more expensive solution they charge for the following: POE Injector 24V New R86.79x12 = R1041.48 < I mean I'm not stupid, 24v POE Injector doesn't cost that much if you buy it on Takealot. This is just really bad practice IMO
EDIT: Values above for POE Injector is VAT Exclusive
