Are you guys familiar with Puscifer?

I hope so.

They have a new album and it is GOOD.

Fantastic!! thanks for the heads up.. love Puscifer and all that precedes them.

I'm beginning to feel though, that Puscifer is rising to the top of the pile.

It's all just various various shades of brilliance, ultimately.

One man, three of my favourite bands of all time, go figure...

Been a tool fan since inception

The thing with Puscifer is that you should see every album as a completely different band, which is sort of what it is and why each album is so different from the rest.

That's why I don't really compare them or choose one over another.

Still getting into the new one, but enjoying it so far.

Can't wait for a new TOOL album though.

I have the same feeling! Conditions of my parole was brilliant, and felt very different to the other bands. Just got the new one thanks to your thread, so far the first two songs have more of a "Tool" feel though. Not sure how I feel about that.

Ooh, Grand Canyon gave me goosebumps.

I don't even know what you classify James Maynard Keenan's style as. Progressive Metal doesn't seem cover it. Looks like Wiki classifies Puscifer as:
Alternative rock, post-industrial, trip hop, experimental, ambient

I only really find the title track (Money Shot) to be 'different' to what I hear on the rest of the album. But man, it's ****ing beautiful all of it.

I think my favourite track so far is probably Autumn. The Grand Canyon video actually made my eyes water...

For sure, it's a relatively subjective comparison to make, but still, I can't help but hear a solidifying of where their sound is heading.

Me neither, very much excite.

Like I said you can't classify the band as a whole.

You need to classify it per album as a different artist.
