Is there a push e-mail solution for small companies that don't have Exchange servers etc ?

Any ideas for clobbering something together ....... cheap is good and free is better.

I love it when a plan comes together .......

Ok, so I got the push e-mail working on Emoze. Everything is looking good except the fact that some mail is un-readable due to the lack of HTML support in WM5.

Syncing Inbox, Outbox, Sent, Drafts, Calender, Contacts, Tasks and any sub folders I selected.

Network overhead seems very low when I look at the stats on V4Me, will keep monitoring.

Anyone know when a upgrade to WM6 will be available ? or some form of cooked ROM ;-)

I would actually rate this higher than an onboard GPS chip on my wishlist.

OK, still testing emoze. So far so good. A few gripes but nothing serious.

Some of my contacts are still being displayed as - Last Name, First Name

Will have to disconnect emoze and sync the contact via Active Sync again. Deselect sync in Active Sync and reconnect with emoze.

My mail attachments are not downloading at present. This might be due to the fact that my SD card has died. (Don't buy the cheap ones) Me thinks that all attachments are supposed to be stored on SD card.

Still my biggest gripe with the TyTn is that there is no HTML support for mail in WM5......... there might as well be no mail support at all.

Having to send all mail in Plain or Rich Text is a step backwards.

Web based Exchange www.mail2web.com

Why can't we set up a service like this in South Africa ?

http://services.mail2web.com/Business/Exchange/compare.asp#compare

As a small business I am seriously considering this as this offers way more functionality than the standard POP mail. At $11 or R85 pm I might give it a try.

I have loved my POP mail from Hetzner, but I now need something "more".

Just wish there was a service like this hosted in South Africa, due to the nature and quality of our international links.

Well emoze has stabalized after installing WM6, everything works as it should.

Problems are mostly due to cellular comms.

The web2mail service is looking more tempting as the hosted Exchange 07 service will ensure that all messages + HTML display correctly.

Will give this a try after the next version update of WM6.
