Pushing updates through to iPads and iPhones

Hi Guys

Not sure if this has been discussed before, so apologies if it has been.

I am an IT Manager for a school and we currently have just over 100 iOS devices (Mostly iPads)

My question is this, is there ANY way that we could push updates to these devices from our Apple server? With the firmware upgrade at 920MB these days it would make better sense to download the firmware update once and then do like a "publish" effect to all our devices.

Maybe contact Apple directly or try their forums.

I don't know if that can be done. You can however centrally manage your Apple and Android device using 3rd party software that will report location, limit installable apps and monitor things like firmware versions.

Connect the ipads to a multi-port usb hub that is plugged into a computer. Do your administration with apple configurator. There is a youtube video on how to use apple configurator if you need more information on how to use the application.
