I am deciding which way to put my data on the network.

I have a couple of external hdd's and some not in an enclosure. I want to put the hdd on the netwrork. oh, and i only have 100mbit switch

I have been surfing the net for some solutions.

1. Buy xtreamer etrayz nas server for R1050 and put my two new hdd's in them. - small and compact, not sure if the small fan will do the trick though:erm:,1gb lan, I think this one cannot be used as external hdd for fast data transfers to pc

2. Buy TRENDnet USB Network Storage Server for 650 and connect my 2x external hdd to it.

- not sure if my media player will be able to connect to it via LAN

3. buy a cheap motherboard+psu+case and build your own nas server. - bulky, can't be used as external hdd for fast data transfer...

opinions please...
