Putting plastic on tempered glass?

So my previous phone just had a matte plastic screen protector and using it felt superb.

I've already got a 9H tempered glass protector on my new phone (cuz no standard cellphone shop seems to stock plastic anymore) but I kind of want that matte feeling back instead of the "stickyness" of normal glass. So I'm currently planning to put a plastic matte screen protector on that glass protector.

Has anyone ever done this?
Should I not do it for any reason (besides the loss of visual "bang" that a matte protector brings)? Would adding another electrostatic bond perhaps break the bond on the glass and just cause all protectors to fall off the phone?
Any other thoughts? (besides I'm nuts I mean)
 
Oh well. Since there have been 156 views and no replies in shock and horror yet I assume that means I'm good to go. (or at least that no one knows)

Still need to wait for the matte protectors to arrive anyways, they'll probably only be here mid Oct.

So I'm happy to report that my tempered glass protector did not loosen when I put the plastic matte protector on this week. I did however have to take scissors to some of the edges of the matte protector as it was floating over the tempered glass and was getting squeezed off by my back cover as a result.
Awesome to have that fingerprint ignoring smoothness back :D

I just have one question.

why didnt you get a matte finish Tempered glass screen protector?
 
Cuz I didn't know that was a possibility :/
Also it seems in general people prefer the standard glass covers so that's what most shops exclusively carry. Or at least no one at those shops bothered to tell me that they had matte tempered glass when I asked for matte plastic.
