Both poles is up and running. My signal is between -65 to -78. But mostly it is -71.

Not even the strong winds can interfere with the signal. The bas thing is that the tree is higher than my pole and when it rains then the ccq seems to go down. I have set my data rate to 18mbps and ccq is 98/98

Remember microtick does not all ways work as you think the closer your get the ccq to 100/100 the better and more stable are your signal and for 5ghz and 71 signal are great you wont really get it lower. even if you drop to 2.4 does not matter that your ccq will be beter and there are less noise on 5ghz coz your standard wireless equipment most end users use are 2.4g so there are alot of noise there

Where you currently have some penetration through the trees with 2.4 you will have almost zero with 5GHz. The shorter wavelength struggles to penetrate a wet noodle.....

The 2.4ghz thing was a complete mess. I replaced the 27dbi 5ghz grids with the 2.4dbi 2.4ghz grids and the ccq was 7/10 .I was so frustrated for myself coz if i new this would happen then i would not have done it. So i have to put the 5ghz grids back. Now the signal is -60/-64. My ccq is mostly 100 when i set data rate to 18mbps. Im very tired today. Will post a picture tomorow or the day after that.

Make small changes and check how much your signal varies (painful I know)

Their are some suburbs with a high points overlooking Oudtshoorn, where Toyota is its pretty down in a

I was able to change my ccq to 100/100. I have set my data rate to only use 36mbps. And it works. I can also use 54 but then there is some lagging in the pinging.

36mbs are good you cant really get up to 54mps of speed on the radio cards even if u do transfer files over the link...

Ok, guys. I personally do not like the 50mm pole. Not all the stuff fits too well. 48mm is much better IMHO.
Also, 2 brackets should be more than enough to mount the pole. 3 will be overkill.
I put a swivel point at the base of my pole. This enables me to lower my complete 8m mast by myself, and put it back up again in about 30 minutes

Yes, the UT7 is too big. Have you tried putting a RB433 in a UT4?
It is a bit of a squeeze, but it does work!!!

I have a 8m pole with 2 x 433, 2 x 27dbi, 3 x 24dbi, 1 x 15dbi sector.

100/100 ccq at 36mbps is very good.
Try and fix the data rates on your client side. Now your radio will spend less time trying to find a higer connection rate. This will also help keep ccq stable.
Have you tried playing with diffrent freq's?
I found that each link have like a sweet spot, were speeds both ways is the same.
Also try and enable NStream (best fit). Microtik only, but it should give your throuput a boost.

no no, you thinking of dual nstream.
Normal NStream is just a way of "compressing" data packets. It uses just a tad more CPU power, but that is it. No extra hardware required

enable nstreme, polling must be enabled and CSMA must just be the same, on mine its unticked so enabled.

basically enable nstreme and leave the rest as is

Well i have an link that runs turbo mode for more than n year and no problems.

Thanx i have set mine to that and will test the tranfer speed later. Wonder if i can enable nstream aswell or will it conflict?
