PVP Classes

I have a resto shammy for pvp and a frost mage, busy working on a DK... theyre just amazing in pvp. Resto shammy is so funny. Was sitting in Goldshire and a random level 85 (with no pvp kit, I have most of s10 stuff) decides to duel me. I put my earth shield on, and he started hitting me.... my health does not go down. Haha, went and made a cup of tea came back and the dude was still trying to DPS me down. Haha. Funniest thing I ever saw (this week).

How did your 9 stacks (not sure if its 9 :P ) of earth shield last while you made tea?

He must have been a complete noob to hardly damage you. I get 20k crits on my arms warrior in poopie pvp gear. :p Must admit, im loving my affliction lock in pvp right now.

If I play on my rogue, I skip DK's and Mages unless they are low health :p

Warlocks are my main targets though >:D

Started with my DK, doing blood spec, WOW they are so OP :P You need to gank a DK to kill him if he has a healer on him

I play a survival hunter. I do really well against most melee classes including DK's; In fact, DKs are one of the classes I enjoy fighting, cause most are facerollers with no skill and / or have no idea how their class works.

As a hunter, you can take away the most important thing of any melee class, mobility. Concussion shot, then just keep kiting and its over. Not hard. DK's, sure they have range, but there are many ways around that as well. Rouges on the other hand, is a little bit harder but be sure to spam flare.

The only classes I really fear are paladins and mages. Mages have ridiculous ranged damage, with OP shields to boot.

At the end of the day, there isn't any "best" pvp class, every class is weak against some classes and strong over others. It's knowing how to handle the more difficult classes to fight and learning their play style as much as possible so you can try and counter it.

If your aim is to be the best pvp player in every battleground, then create a hunter, twink your toon out with heirloomed gear, and play low level battlegrounds.

I wanna see you crit 20k on my kit. I now have full vicious pvp kit and 1 piece ruthless, so my resilience is sitting at 4160 res (unbuffed).

So lets take your 20k crit. Reduce it instantly by 4100, reduce the damage added by my totem armor bonus, add to that, the automatic healing of my earth shield (which is enhanced with talent points "improved shields and natures blessing) which you will proc. Your 20k crit quickly translates into 10k damage. I have 120 000 hp. You just tickled me and a simple splash with a riptide pumps me up to full health again. The only way to take me down is to interrupt the crap outta me. Thats the only way I go down in arena or a bg (druid / rogue combo can do this or druid/mage). Honestly, 20k crits dont bother me, Im more worried about arcane mage 40k-60k crits.

My shammy is a shamatank of note. I was playing some arena the other day. I had an unkitted paladin on my side and we went in. We faced well kitted healer priest and a well kitted blood dk. After about 15 minutes they gave up trying to take my health down. Unfortunately my paladin friend did not have the ability to do much damage to the priest or the blood dk so he was pretty useless. After 25 min the dk quit the game, and then the priest quit. We literally beat them to death with boredom.

Again sitting in Goldshire waiting for time to pass, a well kitted paladin came up against me. The fight lasted half an hour. He beat me in the end, but my word.... I made him work for the kill. Problem is, I have all this great healing, but my damage output sucks balls. If I try dps someone down, I just waste mana. I hardly tickle them.

Currently Resto Shamn + Lock is the best comp in 2's. But dont re roll for whatever is the Fotm class, play what your are good at and what you enjoy.

Blood DKs are hard to get down so if you wanna be a Flag carrier in RBG's or something then roll that, if you can find a good Resto shammy then go into 2s with your lock and own.

too bad about the nerfs coming to Resto shammies in 4.3, /wave at Wind Shear.
