I am at a holiday home for the week and brought our 4 tuner pvr along to watch the odd movie and some sport with the fam. Only problem is the TV here is the same model that Noah had with him on the ark- it only has a RF in.

Is there any way to get a compatible output from the PVR? I tried connecting the rf out on the PVR to the TV but no luck so far (could be my pretty lazy tuning though). Should this, in theory at least, work at all?

Yeah it should work, try adjusting the signal strength lower in the dstv menu

Signal strength??

You're probably talking about a lower RF output frequency. Not really necessary, unless you're running into a distribution network.

All great suggestions, but I need to be able to "see" the decoder to make those adjustments. I'll try to tune the TV again - forgotten how laborious it is!

I didn't suggest anything. I was just correcting D3x!... Keep on tuning. Hopefully it doesn't have those old tuning pods. Those took forever to turn to the right frequency.

just conect the decoder to tv tune throgh all the uhf chanels untill you located the dstv chanel

So after turning those stupid nobs for about 20 minutes I managed to find the correct frequency :)

Thanks for the help!
