Recently when I try to watch some recorded shows on my PVR, the screen goes blank and the program stops.
If I restart the show, I am not able to fast forward past the point it stopped before. It happens with all channels.
If I view the channel live, there is no problem. What's going on?

Possibly an dish alignment or LNB issue - what are your signal strength and quality percentages on the info menu for both tuners? Are you using a splitter of dual LNB?

Recording uses a different tuner to watching doesn't it?
Swap the lnb connections at the back and see if the problem switches to live watching, then check that wire for clean connections etc

I'm guessing he uses a splitter... That will cause the symptoms he experiences.

have you tried to watch older recorded shows?

I had a similar problem on the week end - started watching a pre recorded show and the screen went blank - fast forward - still nothing - selected another older recorded show - same problem.

got pissed off and pulled the plug, after a reboot all was working fine again!
