PVR to PC Functionality

Can anyone tell me anything about the USB port on the PVR?
Is it there for a reason, and is that reason possibly to transfer movies and shows to my PC?
If so, how do I do this?

I've already tried plugging a Removable HDD in, nothing happens though.

You cannot copy anything from the PVR to a PC, even if you take the HDD out of the PVR and put it in your PC, because the content is copy protected. The movie will not play because it will look for the DSTV smart card. If you want to copy your movies to a DVD, you will have to get yourself a DVD recorder and play the movie on your PVR and record onto DVD with the DVD recorder.
