Hi guys can someone pls help I want to setup a dvd recorder to a pvr decoder how do I do this and is it possible also need to connect it to my surround sound does anyone know how to do this?

You want to connect the DVD recorder to record from DSTV?

Connect an output on the PVR to an input on the DVD rec
Connect another output on the PVR to your TV
Connect audio outputs to your surround sound

All depends on details though

That sounds to easy lol I have my tv connected to my pvr and then a cable from the pvr to the surround sound

Your TV to PVR or rather PVR to TV, should be changed to:
PVR audio and video to DVD recorder,
DVD recorder video out to TV and
DVD recorder audio out to surround sound, should work unless,
Unless you got an AV receiver for you surround sound.
