PVR

You should try using a different thread title

It can be set up on a channel if you use a co-axial cable but the quality will suffer, AV or component cables (if the SDPVR has this output?) are much better

you dont notice the picture loss really if you have a tube but if you are running lcd then use the AV1 to output. unless you wanna distrubute the signal throughout the house then you can use coax

You do not get CD quality stereo audio over RF cable (coax).
AV at least, recommended is HDMI.

Thanx guys because at this moment I have my dvd recorder connected to my pvr which also connects to my surround sound and the problem is that AV1 isnt a channel so u cant set the times you want to record on the dvd recorder u have to do it manually push record and then stop again. We have a normal tv and its connected to all the appliances with the red, white and yellow cables cant for the life of me rember what they called

Does a pvr decoder run on AV1 or can it be set to run on a channel?

All depends on how you set it up, I have mine running both. I can veiw both channels on the normal Coax on both my TV 1 and 2, and I can view the AV on the TV1 (which feeds from the PVR to my amp to the AV1)
