About Overscore:
Overscore is an Artificial Intelligence startup (Founded 2014) which is building a Natural Language Processing platform with a strong business case. We are based in Parkhurst, Randburg.
We are looking for a person who is highly driven and/or has the relevant experience or academic qualifications.
Job Description
We are looking for an Python Developer with a strong background in Python Web Frameworks such as Django or Flask as well as Machine Learning Experience. Natural Language processing experience is preferable.
Required Skills
•Fluent in python for building significant packages and systems – not lightweight “glue” scripts.
•Knowledge of SQL and related python SQL ORMs.
•Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, distributed development, system design)
•Experience working as part of a technology team and preferably within a startup
•Proactive individual with experience working within a fast paced environment
•Strong written and verbal communication skills on both technical and non-technical topics
•Outstanding analysis / problem solving skills
•Excellent communication and teamwork skills
•Intellectual curiosity. A strong desire and aptitude to learn and share ideas and knowledge with colleagues.
•Open and flexible to change (programming language, evolving specs, different business areas, etc.)
•Ability to manage multiple tasks in a demanding and changing environment
•Technical education should include an undergraduate and/or advanced computer science, electrical engineering or other relevant applied sciences
•Proven track record in software design and development
Desired Skills:
•Experience with Python Web Frameworks such as Django / Flask
•Experience with Python Machine learning libraries, Scipy, Sklearn etc.
•Knowledge of R and Data Science packages for Python, such as Pandas, is a plus
Your function will be to part of the core team in building our product from the ground up.
We are looking to assemble a team of developers who would enjoy working in a start-up environment. We spend long hours, working on difficult problems, that address well defined business problems. We want individuals who are brave enough to admit when they don’t know how to solve challenges, but obsessive enough to find the answer, no matter what it takes. In essence, we are about building epic sh*t.
