So I decided to make us of them. Here is my story.
I emailed them to ask about stock availability for the product I was looking at, and they said it was on backorder and it will arrive on Monday. I asked about my reservations I had and they promptly replied to answer my concerns. Which in my book is good, they even said I can wait until Monday to do payment.
I placed the order and paid for it on Tuesday Night 28/05/2013, Luckily just before the Rand tanked(The rand kept on weeking and I did not want to take a chance on waiting longer). They did some security checks to make sure that I am the valid card holder for an international purchase, it took no more than half a day.
They mailed me on Wednesday afternoon to say everything is on order and they should ship my order on Monday.
Monday afternoon I received a confirmation from DHL it shipped from them. DHL Phoned me on Tuesday morning for custom clearance information and import tax payment, which I supplied and I paid the import tax plus R150 DHL fee on Tuesday afternoon. According to the DHL process it arrived on Wednesday morning in JHB and they waited for custom clearance and my Payment to show, which can take up to two days with EFT from one bank to another. This morning I received an update to say it cleared customs and is on-route for delivery. I received it around 10:00am.
All in all I say this was a very good experience. Was my first import as well so I am very happy chappy!
Why did I choose them? They did not charge me VAT!, I saved 20% on the price. The shipping was also very reasonable priced. (Fed-ex or DHL).
I am now the owner of a brand spanking new Sony Xperia Tablet Z!
