Q9400 - Heatsink/thermal paste question.

The heatsink of my new CPU comes with four thermal transfer black strips. Should this be sufficient for a non overclocked build?

I have used that type before, works fine. But if you are concerned, go buy a good brand name thermal paste, clean the surfaces of the heatsink. I use the Arctic Silver instructions for thermal paste "http://www.arcticsilver.com/pdf/appinstruct/as5/ins_as5_intel_quad_wcap.pdf"

I Also lapped my Q6600, used the instructions for the paste, Bought a Cooler Master V8 CPU Cooler (fantastic for the price). Over clocked my CPU from 2.4ghz to 3.0ghz and managed to keep temps lower than the stock stuff while OC'ed!
