TFG Infotec has a vacancy for a Senior Test Analyst within the Business Intelligence Competency Centre (BICC). This position requires a self-motivated, highly analytical professional with dynamic, hands-on technical QA testing experience. Candidates are expected to plan, design, and review test specifications and ensure full coverage based on functional specifications and requirements documents. The position requires the candidates to have more than 5 years QA experience in Enterprise Applications with specific experience in Business Intelligence. The candidate must be able to utilize their knowledge and creativity to improve efficiency in our processes.
Your key performance areas will be:
Develop test plans and test ware for capabilities of our product suite
Interact effectively with Product Management and Development
Execute test ware during formal test periods for every BI Project and Change
Diagnose problems and report bugs and enhancements to Development
Build regression and acceptance test scenarios
Work with BI development tools and technologies
Automate and maintain acceptance and regression test scenarios
Provide regular status against your test plans
Mentor and guide the team on test approaches in order to perpetuate continuous improvement in development, with the resultant impact of a reduction in defects being logged
Experience/Skills/Education:
A relevant tertiary qualification
Attitude and aptitude to be successful in a growing and fast-paced company
Experience in one or more of the following areas is required:
SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, Sharepoint, Tableau, Business Intelligence
Working experience with SQL, SAS preferential
Data quality control, data validation
Test Automation experience
Proven experience with delivering high quality software products within a full development lifecycle
Agile experience and understanding the QA role within the model
Technically strong yet functionally inclined and understand the technical without forgetting the user perspective
Clear and effective communication skills
Knowledge of the architecture and design of business intelligence application
