QF1: Netherlands vs Brazil

Whoop whoop go Holland

I'm rooting for the Dutch, this time round they have a well balanced side - as for Brazil their style of play is awesome to watch and they very consistent and accurate when shooting at goal unlike other teams who think they playing rugby when taking shots at goal.Same goes for Argentina - they make football fun to watch.

Brazil have won the WC a few times, The Dutch always one of the underdog favorites but don't pull through.I'm hoping this time round the Dutch can go all the way and take the trophy home.

Some awesome games coming up, you could say we watching a few finals before even getting there - can't wait for the weekend....

Before the tournament started I said 4 teams are possible winners: Netherlands, England, Brazil or Spain.

Well, England are out and were desperately disappointing. Brazil & Spain have both impressed as expected and I still believe they can do it, along with Germany who have impressed me beyond expectations.

However, Netherlands, will always be my no.1 team and I believe they have what it takes to win the cup. So I predict a low score game, but in Netherlands favour on Friday. I'm seriously anxious because it's a game against Brazil! I'm also trying to plan how to get home in time for kick off @ 4pm!!

I have been thinking about the outcome of this all day now. Can't help but feel that's going to be 2 - 1 to the Netherlands.

Cracker it'll be.
 
Man I'm rooting for the dutch.

I reckon 2-2 after extra time and it goes down to penalties.
 
One thing to remember is that these two teams are quite equal, now and in the past (sum of all games played leaves the two at 50/50 for wins). I think if Netherlands plays at 100% they edge Brazil out, but so far they've only really managed 95% at best. Lets hope they find that last 5% on the day :D Hup Holland Hup!
 
I think this should be an interesting game. I reckon that the structured, patient style they've been playing (and which they've gotten a lot of criticism for) has all been in practice for this game. Bert van Marwijk would have known when the draw was originally done, that the Oranje would most likely meet Brazil here. And it would be suicide to try play a fast, open game against them.

Really can't call who will win this, they'll most probably be seperated by a defensive mistake. But here's hoping van Persie finds his form, Robben runs rings around Bastos, Elia/Afellay start on left wing to create more space, and van Bommel and de Jong have the games of their lives! Oranje boven!
 
Brazil should take it. History has shown that they win every second world cup. The only time Netherlands looked convincing, like they could win the whole tournament was in their first match. Since then, they have produced, but have not looked as hungry as the Brazilians. Other than their match against Portugal, where they were visibly playing for a draw, they have operated like a well oiled machine. I think Brazil will win this match. As for winning the tournament, a lot has to happen before they can achieve their "full house".

I like Netherlands but I like Brazil more ... but I'm scared of Arjen Robben 2-2 and penalties to decide
 
Go Holland! I don't wanna see Brazil in yet another final! Doesn't matter how good they are, there's only so much a person can handle.
 
i'm a big brazil supporter but i'm scared for them this match, the orange peeps are looking good.

i still think brazil will pull through though 2-1
