Has anyone here used Qimo, and how does it compare to Edubuntu?

Looks nice. From what I see it's completely Stand Alone, so you just run the LiveCD or Install it.

They say on site you don't have to have Ubuntu installed and that it's for ages 3 and up.

As far as I see it's mostly Games, so I'm not sure if EduBuntu would be more suited for your kids?

Yes, I can read the FAQ on the site too.

If Qimo is a small and lightweight system, I would consider it for the twins (2 years old, but they play tetris and pacman).

I like GCompris, the educational package, and the dock in Qimo is genius. They'll just have to click on an icon.

Edubuntu seems like a great idea, but it's still Ubuntu, and Ubuntu is uuuugly and bloated.

So I might give this a try (cap) some time.
