Greetings. Going to try and clear a few things up here with what is known about this technology right now. Please watch this video first:
1. OLED having no backlighting necessary means one of the biggest failure area's in current flat screen TVs is eliminated. Back lighting failure accounts for 60% upward of total repair cost of LCD TVs.
2. OLED display runs cooler because it generates less heat. Less heat = longer life in electronics terms.
3. OLED picture quality is better than QLED........under the correct lighting conditions. OLED needs a dimmer room to look it's best. Suited to indoor areas where lighting is controllable.
4. OLED is still very expensive. Time hopefully brings prices down as the technology matures.
