A Microserver/Poweredge T20 witha GPU, and Hard drives actually work out cheaper...

Yet none of them can transcode x265 1080P video on the fly in Plex besides the top end xeon T20 which is not great value for money.

If you're looking at a qnap then look at the quad core T251+/T451+ or T253/T253.
