Quake 4 install error

Hi guys,

Im trying to install Quake 4, but at the install screen I get an error about 'msvcr80.dll file missing'

I have since downloaded the file...but i dont know how to install it. One site said to copy it to system 32 dir, but that did not work.

tried run - cmd - regsvr32... command, but that did not work.

Can someone please tell me how to install this damn dll file so i can get Q4 to run.

have you tried running the exe in xp compatible mode?

I browsed the contents of the disc & double clicked on the setup.exe file.

It installed & seems fine.

Maybe its just a problem with the autorun off the disc.
