Activision sends word that the official Quake 4 site is now live. "At the site, your readers will find never-before-seen videos, the official QUAKE 4 trailer, wallpapers, screenshots, background information and the latest QUAKE 4 news."

Definately not a site for dial up users!!!!

I am no gamer, but will purchase Q4. If it is anything like Q Arena it will be worthwhile.

Seems like they moved away from the quake 3 deathmatch stuff and more to the story like games quake 1 and 2 was. But this looks as if its running on the doom 3 engine. Hope its not the same.

Its a highly optimized doom3 engine, afaik its properly capable of full HDR aswell and not a "hacked" HDR method.

Oooh....

on the contrary... i am only getting the game for its multiplayer content... they HAD the Quake 3 team develop a PROPER multiplayer aspec to Quake 4 and not do the flop that Doom 3 offered in the multiplayer arena.

from other previews i have read on the net the AI is as stupid as ever in the single player content... rather get FEAR if you wanna have some single playe fun.

I hope it is worth it ... Raven has always done good work although SOF II rather sucked a bit.

When is the local release ???.

official release date in SA as per BT Games is 28th Oct. Yet i think it will pop in a week earlier for sure.... same time as FEAR... eish...

R600 for games this month ... the Mrs is not going to be pleased :).

i buy mine on pre-order... save almost R50 per game and have 3 lined up thus far... X-Men II, Quake 4 and CoD2... not sure about FEAR as yet...

CoD2 ???.

I just hate it when games companies play a certain genre to death like WW2 shooters currently now :(.

I played the first MOHAA and it was fun but that was enough of WW2 for me.

heck no... i dont do MoH titles anymore after CoD came out... and having played the CoD2 demo its just brings a smile to my face knowing how the multiplayer will be... lovely. :D
