Quart cap beer

I found today that a quart beer bottle does not have a screw cap while a small beer bottle does have a screw cap Why is this so. I was thinking that the big bottle could have a screw cap to close for later pouring in again

If you cannot handle a quart then drink the handi. Leave the big ones for the big boys

The returnable bottles do not have screw caps ,330 and 750 .
