anyone use this addon? cast bar is great but the rest is really annoying to set up!
anyone got any tips for layout etc?
Also i need some other mods:
1)a good dmg meter
2) something that changes my portrait health and mana bars, and displays my buffs below my cast bar.

any suggestions?
 
Quartz is a must have for anyone playing from South Africa
Best dmg out there is Recount (Ace2)
 
Hey WiT8litZ I am playing a Warrior and got the Quartz addon, I am just not sure what it actually does, how does it help?
 
Its not as usefull for a warrior, unless you Slam spam :D
It helps casters to include latency in the cast bar, melee rarely use a cast bar.
I Do use the enemy targer castbar though to interupt spells etc, but there are other addons for that incl the ingame enemy castbar...

pretty awesome, i gave xperl a whirl and it suits me just fine.
CT-Buff mod is not my bag though, it takes up too much lateral space and it doesnt look like there is any way to change the width!
any other buff mods i should look out for?
 
Elkano's Buff Bars.

It's similar looking to said CT-Buff but you can customise width/height/etc with realtive ease.

hey guys - watched an awesome vid of some hordie raid taking down illidan(click), anyway the guys lists his mods - but he doesnt state which mod does what, can anyone help?

here is the list of addons:

also, for anyone that has watched that movie - what is the damage meter that this guy uses?

I use some of these so here is what they do.

Ora2 - similar to ctraid, handles raid warnings/ready checks etc
Bigwigs - A raid scripting tool, simply put it tells you what abilities are being used and if you need to move etc. I prefer Deadly Boss Mod
SWStats - Damage meters
Omen - Threat 1.0 Frontend, like KTM it displays threat/agro
Bartender - Replacement for the blizzard Bars/hotbars. Did not watch the video but I for example have all my bars in the middle bottom of the screen
Pitbul - Frame replacement, very nice but a bit heavy on the fps at times
Prat - Chat box improvements, colour coding, level etc
fortewarlock - No idea
Grid - Raid health, decursing, Hot uptime. A favorite with some healers
Quartz - Castbar replacement with latency assists and GCD tracker
SCT, SCTD - Scrolling combat text, shows damage on the screen. highly configurable
Xloot - Looting window replacement, also highly configurable

These are mostly ACE addons which makes life very easy with updates etc.

This screenshot might help put it in place, sorry if its a mess I rushed to edit it for this post quick and its the only one I have taken recently
