Hi,

Being one of the many Mtn subscribers who have been overcharged over the last few months, I wish to lodge a billing query with MTN.
The bloke I spoke to on 808 obviously knew nothing and claimed that it is impossible for MTN to ever bill you for calls you never made!!!

What is the procedure for lodging a query?
Do I have to mention which calls are disputed or can I request a recalculation of the entire bill?
Please don't tell me to follow this procedure, it will drive anyone crazy.

You can either phone 808 or go to a mtn store or service centre. If you go to a store you need to take photocopies of your account, highlighte the wrong billing stuff.

be aware that on every account it says that you have 21 days to query the account.

AFAIK a fraudster can not escape it's responsibility for correct invoicing by putting such a clause on an invoice/account. I think that only after 3 years the claim lapses if you didn't follow it up.

MTN as a rule does NOT reply to queries. They will send you a ref. number and that's it. Complain to ICASA and they send you a ref. number and that's it.

Nobody answers nothing. Sorry, forgot. Their lawyers do answer.
