Quest for the best value SUV

Funny you should say that, test drove the 2.2 S Today and other than not having leather or a freaking arm rest it was great. Wife loves it. Its definitely on the top of our list at the moment.

Really like the new sorento, haven't driven it though but im sure it is great. Its just slightly more than I want to spend. And I know it is fully loaded but R419 000 I personally feel is a lot to spend on a Kia.

Well the other thing is I remember a few people commenting on the prices for spare parts being very expensive as well for the Kia. (on 4x4 community forums)

Well that makes my decision a little easier. Another thing I forgot was I remember months back I heard that Kia's after sales service is non existent, anyone know if this is still the case?

I must say my gut is telling me to go for the Freelander 2. It has less features and gadgets but seems like a all round nicer car. Drive is amazing as well.

Can anyone of the Subaru supporters \owners please comment on the reliability of the CVT box.

I absolutely love the Forester but that gearbox is my only (slight) concern.
