Does a faster line speed affect your cap for example if you have a 2g cap then you are using a faster connection that means you are able to transmit more at a time meaning you should reach your 2g limit quicker?

So there isn't really a benefit to getting a faster line. It comes down to the same thing.

well depends what you are using the line for etc..
and also if you can afford a 1024 circuit and like multiple isp accounts or bigger caps etc, then it wuld benefit you

but to the average joe, having a faster line wont indeed benefit you.

384 for home is ample i think..

100% correct......Thats why i say its another money-making cheme...the quicker you download, the quicker youre likely to apply for more GB's

In other words if you have one of those 1gig/s lines from Hong Kong or 2.5gig/s lines from France it means your 2gig ADSL cap would be finished in a matter of seconds or before you even use it.

It depends - if your habits dont change then no - it wont affect your cap.

Say every month you download the same podcasts you'll just get them quicker now but the amount of data transferred remains the same.
