Question about MTN billing

Hi
I am a new MTN Mobile user since 14 Nov.
My contact is R199 per month for 20G (contract name is my choice 5G)
Now I received the first month invoice, which is R472!
After contact customer service, the lady said is pro rata, a normal situation, and will become R199 from the second month bill which is Jan 2020. But can't explain very detailed.
So I still don't understand why pro rota will result in this amount?
Could someone explain to me?

Those values don’t include VAT. It is almost 2 months full payment and the first month looks like you didn’t get the full discount. Maybe connection charges.

I left MTN solely because of their billing.

Their bills are normally 2 months in arrears , so they seemed to pro rata a full month for november - how much data did they give you in the first month?
 
Good luck in getting it sorted. I took out a Mtn Made for Home 60GB LTE package. My first Invoice was R1600 instead of R400pm.Their excuse also was that it was Pro rata. After numerous emails they said it's sorted but I still don't see how it's sorted. I'm unfortunately stuck with Mtn as there are no alternative service providers in my area (I live on a farm).
