Question about "second hand" GPU warranties

Hi guys,

Been wondering about this; if you buy a GPU second hand and it still has a warranty, how do you claim that warranty?

I don't need to do this, but am considering buying a 1080 Ti on Carbonite and obviously I need to ensure it is future proof.

He gives you the invoice and you take it back to the store he bought it if you ever need to.

Proof of purchase is essentail and if its an online store (and not brick and mortar store) with the name of the guy you need to potentially be able to send it back.
