question for bikers

Had a quick sit on the S1000R the other day but it's not nearly Naked enough for me from a comfort seating perspective.

Strangely enough the RnineT was even more strenuous.

I love that bike. But now since I had put it's face in the tar. I might just upgrade. I'll see when I get the bike back. Amazing machines. Damn, I can now appreciate why BMW took so long to bring out a Super bike. If you are new to biking or an old pro. The mode settings will make sure you don't make mistakes. You put it on slick and it's a whole different monster

Yeah I've heard the modes work very well.

It's just a little too precise and too how should I say "clinical" for my liking.

I don't think I could ever love any BMW, it would be a practical purchase not an emotive one.

What would you upgrade to though?

a 2014 or 1015 model :D

I'm converted now, doubt I'll ever go back. I had a K6 Suzuki 1000, then the CBR 1000 (2007) before I got this one. Out of those 2 I liked the CBR more than the K6

Meh.

I've been converted away from superbikes for so long now I'll probably sprain something if I got onto one now.

But I've got my eye on that 2015 Multistrada.

I could never get the attraction of a cruiser. That being said, I have never ridden one. I might change my mind in a few years. Maybe a nice soft tail Harley :o

I have a loud exhaust on my bike. I love hearing the engine rev. I rev when I go through tunnels or under bridges. I blip when I shift down which causes drivers not paying attention to get a fright. I rev at idiots playing on their cellphones and idiots who look at you in their mirrors and try to block you off while lane splitting.

Right there with you.

I ****ing love revving my bike. The sound gives my ears orgasms. Don't much care if anyone takes notice to it or not. It's my own pleasure.

Deal with it. ;)

Nah neither do I. Not as a one and only bike at least, would have to be a second or third bike.

But I like a bit of comfort, so sporty naked is my style. Nice middle ground.

I love the S1000R, will be my next upgrade after the Street Triple R!

It's the first bug-eyed BMW I've liked, but felt too sporty in the shop so needs some work.

Then again I'm modding my STR for comfort with handlebar risers and possibly even a comfort seat if the risers don't work.

Hoping Danie Maritz can work some suspension magic as well. I just can't get the rear to be soft enough.

Something like a Ducati Monster or a Suzuki Bandit 1200?

Probably more like a Diavel but that would be falling closer to the cruiser category.

I've ridden a Buell Lighting before and now ride a Triumph Street Triple to give you an idea.

But yes a Monster 1200S would be lovely, but a more practical choice would be the 2015 Multistrada because it's pretty much Batman's bike considering it's the most advanced thing on the planet right now.

Never liked the Bandit.

Very nice bike. Reminds me of the BMW F800 just sexier :)

I must admit I like to "blip" my throttle a bit at times, I don't clutch in and full rpm or anything like that, just enough so it makes that pleasant popping sound (single cylinder thumper does that).
I can't really say why, it's definitely got nothing to do with trying to annoy motorists or anything. I guess I just like the sound. We humans are like that, we can enjoy the strangest little things, nothing sinister about it. Go figure.
