question for the fiat Uno mense ....

So i recently(Monday 6th sep) filled up my tank with R200 petrol 95, just a random question but how much mileage do you get on it ? I've done around 379-388km and counting... somewhere around there and the tank still has 1/5 left and its a uno mia 1.1.

I check my car before every drive and haven't spotted anything out of the ordinary like leaks or anything so i just want to know is this correct? Also , i dont race the engine , max i go is around 90-110kmph and she is just purring nice and quiet, since i only stay on the highway for about 2 minutes i think the mileage is correct.

Same answer I give everybody who asks this question - How long is a piece of string?
It is impossible to try and calculate consumption using this method.

You MUST fill the car up, zero the odo, or write down your mileage, then drive it for a couple of days and do the same thing. Once you know how much fuel you have used over that specific mileage you then calculate your consumption.

EXAMPLE: You put in 23.5 litres after having done 320.6 kilometers.

23.5 divided by 320.6 = 0.0733. Multiply that by 100 and you will be getting 7.33 litres per hundred km.

If you want km/l then you divide 320.6 by 23.5 and you get an answer of 13.64 km/l

DO NOT try and guess how much fuel is in your tank, as the fuel gauge is probably the MOST inaccurate gauge in your car. Also don't expect to get the same consumption every time as each trip will have variables which will alter this figure even if you think you are driving the same route in the same way every day, you are not a computerised robot and the road conditions will and do change, just as weather changes, and along with that your consumption changes.

yeah , i checked the mileage just before i left for work now and forgot what it was, that's why i typed 379-388 LOL because im busy with something else, but its fairly close to that figure ! anyway thanks for the reply , yeah each day is a bit different thanks to durban / malvern traffic and roads randomly being closed for like 3 hours. anyway once the yellow light comes on for the fuel, i go fill the babe up immediately.

I had two Uno 1100s. The petrol tank is 35 litres so your range should be around 420 to 480kms. The average Uno gets around 13 to 14km/l or around 7.5l per 100km
