Yeah maybe this is totaly stupid..:)

I know how the cap works and what happens when it comes into play..
All I need to kwow is this..if you are capped will you be able to use programs
like Skype/MSN Messenger ot chat to people overseas?

Thanks!:)

with the new hardcapping, you will not even be able to connect to the network, so no .... unless you go with one of the ISP's that do their own proxy funky stuff

No.

Currently when you are capped international is dead. Even fast loading google.com takes about 30 seconds minimum to open.

Forget about Skype or MSN while capped.

also depends which account u have

like telkom's 2 gig , when capped = f%^k all connection
3gig = your international is "throttled" to a minimum and your local is still accessible....but that's crap anyway becos da more people capped the more the local is affected aswell

LOL if it opens at all! I've been capped once due to my line being hacked and I couldn't do anything international. Not even download my email from my mail servers in the USA

I still want to know something with this, ands its really bugging me.. Why have telkom not given a press release stating this yet?

I think the reason is they r trying 2 make it seem as if they r making an effort 2 lower their prices and shift the blame 2 the ISP's. Trying 2 avoid ICASA maybe? Ne1 else got sum thoughts?
