Specifically for Axxess.
Please follow my logic and just tell me to go away if you want to.
We know effectively all landline ISPs resell Telkom accounts, ie 1, 2, 3, 4 gig etc. Axxess is pretty nice in that they through prepaid sell rollover accounts. Very nice thanks. My question is now that Telkom gives away a certain amount of local only bandwidth away for free with each 1, 2, 3, 4 gig account effectively. I doubt Axxess would buy two 3 gig accounts to cover my 5gb that I buy, they would buy in bulk a number of 3 or 4 accounts as it becomes required. So me with my 5gb that I buy from Axxess should translate into 50 gig free local only data. On Axxess a local only 50 gig account costs R500.00. Which in effect they are getting for free.
Dont get me wrong, I grant Axxess the right to be an effective bussiness but surely you could give me a 20 gig local only account for free every time I buy a 5 gig prepaid without impacting your bottom line. So when I buy the 5gig my 20 gig resets whether I used it or not. If I do go over that 20 gig in the time I use my 5 gig you can charge me a per gig amount or I buy local only per gig topup. I could then use something like route sentry or something similar to manage local only vs international traffic.
Even if it is only for the duration of Telkom's "promotion" which we all know they'll never take away.
Just a question.
Thanks
