I have a mate who has a Telkom ADSl Router. (marconi)
his main computer can access internet just fine.
When he plugs his laptop into on of the ports on the router , he gets his IP address , yet he is unable to get any internet access , and is unable to ping anything out side of his local network.
have tried all the other ports , all with the same problem
even tried turning off all security options etc. still get the same problem.
Any idea what could be the problem ?
