Questions on Efiling/Tax/etc

Hi All,

So I am definitely not the most tax savvy individual. I was 6 years behind on my tax returns. Yes, I know. Was super dumb of me.

However, I have since submitted all my tax returns and have been audited on 4 of the 6 years, there is only 1 year left to be audited (2008) however I am not fussed as it is a R0.00 return, had nothing special, no allowances, etc.

My question however is that on my last reduced assessment, my account balance is - *Nice sum of money*.

How long after the last audit is done would I expect to wait for a pay out?

Good luck with that.. been waiting for SARS to be pay me since the 3rd week after tax filing season opened.
I'm going to start demanding interest!
 
SARS has really gone down the tubes - a few years back, you submitted, an audit was done if you were due a refund and you'd be paid out quite soon thereafter.

With some of the posts on here lately, I take nothing for granted. Not going to assume people have the common sense to know that is not the real number :whistle:
 
Mine took less than 2 weeks after doing efiling in July ! And it was a refund (not paying in scenario)

I think it's only the dodgy people like the OP that wait for their returns :p
I changed address, banks and for the first time SARS owed me... got paid in like 3 days after filing without any questions from their side
