hello-
i live in jhb in weltevreden park,or constatia kloof or watever and i wanted to know what the closest tower to there is,also i wanted to know why when i start downloading something it goes down in speed rapidly, and gets stuck on a low speed, i wanted to know how much my iburst will improve if i get a sattelite and when is iburst going to fix their stuff buy if anyone knows.
thanks. :D

don't judge iburst on any performance in the last week, we seem to be in a weird patch because they never tested thier throttling system before they launched the service. Expect things to be a little more normal by Wednesday this week.

Also satelite doesn't help things, with satelite the speeds are way less than 1mbit (the possible speed of iBurst) and you still have to use another connection to send data, so with a satelite connection you download through the satelite (not very fast I might add unles you have serious cash and equipment) and upload through dial up (so you'll be paying for calls) or even a connection liek iBurst so all in all satellite is a waste of time unless you live in the middle of nowhere.

you would be covered by the northcliff tower, hopefully the new tower on florida centre would be able to cover us too, and you're mere km's away from the roodepoort tower, depending on which side you stay, im there by the old mutual buildings and just over the bend from the roodepoort tower, have LOS of the northcliff tower

speeds are good

Do you use a multithreaded download manager such as Net Transport, Leechget, Getright, etc? If not, you really should.

I had satelite and it sucked ! It sound like you need to reposition your UTD . I had similar problem, the signal looked great and then speed would drop during download and it would take forever to finish downloading.
